If you're looking for an interesting bocce ball set, the Premium Vivace Tournament Bocce Set may be the one for you. These bocce balls consist of both clear and colored resin for a unique multi-colored look. This 113mm eight-ball set includes four balls with red resin stripes and four with green resin stripes. Two scoring patterns make it easy to identify your ball. The large 60mm pallino (jack) is easy to spot, even from a distance.
Bocce Ball Materials and Sizes
Resin is the most popular material for bocce balls and will withstand frequent use better than other materials. Molded plastic is best for children or for beginners and can be somewhat softer although still very durable.
A bocce ball that is smaller than 100mm is typically best for children or for beginners. This size is easiest to handle and toss. Tournament balls will range between 107mm and 115mm. The International Standard ball is 107mm (4.2 inches) and weighs 920 grams (2 lbs.). The occasional backyard player will most likely appreciate a size somewhere between 100mm and 110mm.

This was a great purchase! The set is not only attractive, but of good quality and easy to transport in a sturdy, well-made protective case. I am a recreational player in an indoor bocce league. The balls in this set are slightly larger than what we use indoors, but is perfect for my outdoor practice/recreation at home. Overall, I am very happy with the set.

To be clear, there are no problems with Hayneedle. The product itself is less impressive. The case I received was different than in the image, rectangular and not square. There is a cardboard box in the case keeping the shape of the bag with the balls in it. You have to leave the cardboard in it to have the bag keep its shape, otherwise it would be an odd misshapen mess as the balls settle. The zipper on the bag was not stitched on one side, already in need of repair. Great. Basically, the case is worthless. When you lift it- even with the cardboard in it keeping the shape of the bag and the balls stacked- you can tell this bag is going to rip apart after a few moves. These are bocce balls and have weight. This bag is not designed to hold weight- no way. As for the balls themselves, my balls seem to be factory seconds. First, the image on the site makes these balls look amazing. The transparent part of the balls are not quite as transparent as the image leads you to believe. They do not look quite as clear. My particular balls have imperfections inside the balls. Because they have a transparent side, I can see the mis-formed bubbles inside some of them. I can forgive the case, but the visible imperfections inside the balls are too much for me. I am returning for the same set- If there are no bubbles inside the balls, they would look amazing. I am hoping my next set is good.

We used the set twice and during a game one of the bocce balls broke in half. We enjoy the game. Lots of fun / laughs. But disappointed with the craftmanship of the balls.
