The Platinum Finest Bocce Set will provide hours of wholesome entertainment for the serious bocce player. Each ball in this set is constructed of attractive pearlized resin. Four green and four red bocce balls are included. Different engraved scoring patterns on the balls allow up to four players to compete individually. Eight players can compete on two-person teams.
Bocce Ball Materials and Sizes
Resin is the most popular material for bocce balls and will withstand frequent use better than other materials. Molded plastic is best for children or for beginners and can be somewhat softer although still very durable.
A bocce ball that is smaller than 100mm is typically best for children or for beginners. This size is easiest to handle and toss. Tournament balls will range between 107mm and 115mm. The International Standard ball is 107mm (4.2 inches) and weighs 920 grams (2 lbs.). The occasional backyard player will most likely appreciate a size somewhere between 100mm and 110mm.

I just received these balls this afternoon. They were actually delivered to a neighbor's house a few days ago then buried buy a foot of snow. He found them this morning and after 5 days my neighbor came to my office and told me he had found them. Aside from the mix up which has nothing to do with the set, this set is absolutely beautiful and well made. I own 5 bocce sets of all quality and prices and this one is the crem de la crem. I would say to anyone, if you want a one-time bocce purchase and a great one, then do it once and do it right.The Halex Platinum is a great heavy beautiful set.

The bocce balls are very nice but the carry bag is not real sturdy. You need to keep the cheap cardboard box inside the bag or try to replace it with something more sturdy to make it easier to carry.
