Bocce courts are typically unique in design and construction when compared to each other. Choice of building materials and playing surfaces and even lengths and widths of bocce courts may vary. Typically, bocce courts are approximately 20 to 30 meters in length and approximately 2.5 to 4 meters wide. The court has wooden boards of approximately 15 centimeters in height surrounding it.
Bocce court constructionIf you are a serious bocce player, you may want to consider building your own bocce court. When building a bocce court the primary consideration should be the playing surface. You can build a court with a dirt surface; however, using a premium surface such as a bulk oyster blend will have the advantages of fast play, minimal bounce, and easy maintenance.
